There is a possibility that Saxon Mortgage Services could be gone all together. Personally I just want Saxon out of my life and will sell the home they service. A sale of the mortgage unit, which Morgan Stanley acquired in 2006 during the height of the housing bust, kicked off in the past several weeks.
HAMP was started in February 2009 by the Treasury Department and the Federal Housing Finance Agency after the foreclosure crisis. Under the plan, at least $75 billion was directed to participating mortgage-servicing companies to help financially distressed mortgage-holders modify their mortgages.
A class action lawsuit has been filed in Federal Court in New York against Saxon Mortgage Services Inc., the Morgan Stanley mortgage servicer division, for failing to fulfill its obligations under the federally-sponsored Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP) to homeowners in financial distress.
She did not disclose her location but this is what someone named Eve had to say: “I hate Saxon Mortgage.. my payment is due by the 1st with a grace period of 15 days.. I alway pay my mortgage by the 15 day grace period… Saxon starts calling me on the second and then every other day unil I make my payment, every time I explain that I just spoke with someone and although my house payment may be considered late I am still within the grace period. Its annoying!
