There is a possibility that Saxon Mortgage Services could be gone all together. Personally I just want Saxon out of my life and will sell the home they service. A sale of the mortgage unit, which Morgan Stanley acquired in 2006 during the height of the housing bust, kicked off in the past several weeks.
A class action lawsuit has been filed in Federal Court in New York against Saxon Mortgage Services Inc., the Morgan Stanley mortgage servicer division, for failing to fulfill its obligations under the federally-sponsored Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP) to homeowners in financial distress.
She did not disclose her location but this is what someone named Eve had to say: “I hate Saxon Mortgage.. my payment is due by the 1st with a grace period of 15 days.. I alway pay my mortgage by the 15 day grace period… Saxon starts calling me on the second and then every other day unil I make my payment, every time I explain that I just spoke with someone and although my house payment may be considered late I am still within the grace period. Its annoying!
CR in Georgia said: “I have been working with my lender for well over a year trying to get my mortgage modified. Due to a serious illness, I have been unable to pay my mortgage. I sent in all required and asked for information in hopes of getting my loan modified. I kept getting turned down. This year I went to a NACA sponsored event in California and met with my lender. They informed me that the investor (Morgan Stanley) had me in a type of mortgage that allows no changes (modifications) to my loan.
BG in Florida said: “I was given a forbearance plan by my bank. the bank (amtrust) was closed down. my mortgage was transferred to Saxon Mortgage and they disallowed the plan. Calling me in the middle of the night claiming I was not paying my mortgage.
