Saxon Mortgage fined for failing to register

In Boston, city inspectors yesterday condemned a foreclosed two-family home in Dorchester that had no smoke detectors, running water or toilets and was overrun with trash, drug paraphernalia and human waste.

The 225 Westville St. property has been a target of neighborhood complaints to police since it was foreclosed on April 24, 2008, said Inspectional Services Department spokeswoman Lisa Timberlake.

The property’s mortgage servicer, Saxon Mortgage Inc. of Fort Worth, Texas, was also fined $1,000 for failing to register the home with the city as required by an ordinance targeting foreclosure-related blight.
