Elain in Massachusetts said: “I have, unfortunately, had Saxon Mortgage since November of 2007 when it was sold by Novastar Mortgage. Since day 1 there has been nothing but problems. First I wasn’t even notified that Novastar no longer carried my mortgage, when I called to find out why they hadn’t taken the payment on the 1st of the month I was informed they no longer carried my mortgage and I needed to call Saxon.
I received no paprerwork from Saxon Mortgage to this day saying that they purchased my mortgage.
At the time that they purchased my mortgage my husband was deployed in Iraq. They LOST my Power of Attorney that was filed with Novastar and told me for 3 weeks that they could not speak to me and to have my husband call. what part of “my husband is currently overseas deployed to Iraq” didn’t they understand.
It took me mailing 7 copies of my POA, faxing 2 copies of it and 7 months for them to actually “find” my POA. In the meantime my husband had to call 2 times from Iraq to fix problems that were occuring every month on our mortgage.
They have taken payments out of my bank and not posted them to my account. They have overpaid my taxes and my escrow on numerous occasions. We have been dealing with these issues since 2007, now my husband is scheduled to deploy again in a few months and I am dreading the fact that I will have to deal with this company again.
Although we have made our payments every month in the amount that they have told me to pay, they are stating that we are over $6000 delinquent. This is a no win situation with them! Every payment that we make they are putting into our Escrow account and not using towards paying are principal or interest.
We are at the end of our ropes and not sure what to do anymore. WE cannot afford a lawyer but at this point have no choice but to get one. They are going to foreclose on our house and with him deploying the kdis and I will be left to fend for ourselves.
It is unbelieveable to me that with everything that I have read on here and the complaints I have found elsewhere online that this company is still running. They are sharks! They prey on innocent people who are working for a living and trying to make a better life for their children. This company has no heart. Any advice of what to do would be greatly appreciated. WE are in the process of fliing a compplaint with the BBB now.”
